Is your hearing important to you? To Venture Outdoors it is. Hearing protection is mandatory in all of our live fire firearms classes. We will provide use of foam earplugs or earmuffs for each student. In 1999, we felt so strongly about hearing protection that we became a distributor for Insta-Mold Ear Plugs.

Insta-Mold earplugs are made of surgical silicon and molded directly in your ear. Being custom made, they only fit you. In the July 2002 issue of Sporting Clays magazine, they were rated as one of the best forms of hearing protection on the market today.

Sometimes the world we live in is noisy. Our quit world becomes loud. Not just on the shooting range, but at our job and in our home. Most people don't think of how loud a hand drill, handsaw, or even the lawn mower really is. But we all know how loud a teenager can play their stereo and teens experience hearing loss every day. In today's world, many children and adults are having their hearing damaged by the repetitive use of these normal household items. If you work in a noisy environment or are involved in a shooting sport you greatly increase the chance of hearing lose.

The following is a chart showing the db rating of various noise levels. Judge for your self:
