Men have said for years that "WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT". Well they are right. Women are truly different from men  and we don't just mean physically. 

Women learn and understand different  than men. Women think and process their thoughts differently from men.  And lastly, men usually are thinking of only one thing at a time where as women mulit-task. 

This does not mean it is a good thing or a bad thing, it just means women and men are truly different. Most women enjoy experiencing a little of something before buying the entire package. They also like to learn in an environment where they feel safe and comfortable. We, at Venture Outdoors specialize in teaching women about many outdoor activities.

Many of our classes began with the idea of teaching women. With Jeannie being a woman, she understands the challenges women often face with men instructors. She feels that there are basically 3 types of male instructors; (1)He treats you like a child, (2)He tolerates you, because this is a man's world or (3)He is really a great instructor and it doesn't matter if you are a man or woman. If he is a firearms instructor, he just wants you to have fun, shoot well and stay safe. 

We understand a woman's needs and fears in areas such as firearms. In the fall of 1995, Venture Outdoors began working with Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center and the Department of Natural Resources, teaching their women's firearms programs which include Becoming and Outdoors Women, Women In The Outdoors, and Ladies Day at the Range. 

Over the years, we have tailored many of our firearms classes for the individual or group and designed for a woman's need.  

We specialize in the woman who is afraid of guns, but feel she has a need for one. We offer classes to introduce you to guns when you do not own a firearm. You have the opportunity to experience different calibers or gauges, types of actions, sizes and weights before you spend any money to buy a gun. We work to your needs.
